About Point 17

And that’s the end of our Wemyss Coastal Trail. We hope that you have enjoyed your journey.

There are a few options for getting back to where you started. You can take the bus, or simply walk.

Highlights for Point 17

L3 - Local Bus - Mon - Fri

The L3 is a small bus that travels back to East Wemyss where we started the trail, and back to Leven town centre and the railway station. The service only runs weekdays at the following times. Pay on the bus. 08:08 09:08 10:08 11:08 12:08 13:08 14:08 15:08

Main service bus - every day

If you're unable to catch the L3, then the bus to get you back will be from the main road at the top of the hill. Follow the road out of the village for 1.4 km - there is a pavement, so please use this and be aware of the traffic. The buses run regularly along this route - use Google maps to help you. The bus stop is on the opposite side of the road

Walk

Simply follow the way you travelled to take you back to East Wemyss. Or, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, why not walk through to Kirkcaldy where buses and trains will easily take you back to Levenmouth. This is about 7km, or break off at Dysart half where buses run regularly from the main road.

If the map does not show your current position when you click “Show My Location” , check your phone browser setting and allow Location.

If there’s more than one of you with a smartphone, you can use the What3Words app to help you navigate. It’s free to download – type in the what3words location, tap “use compass” and it will help you find your way. Though remember, this will point to the exact location, not necessarily following the right path, so use the map on each page to help you.
