The Silverburn Loop

About this trail

Welcome to the Silverburn Loop Trail. This trail will guide you along the coastline to Silverburn Park on a journey through time, town and country.

Along the way we will explore our amazing coastline, learn about Silverburn’s rich industrial heritage and dig deeper into Leven’s history. We will meet Leven’s famous mascot – a giant blue dog named Postie and visit the place where arguably Scotland’s greatest artist was once fired! We will learn about the historic industries of the area and sample what might be Fife’s best scones! All this and more on our two hour adventure.

It is suitable for walkers and considerate cyclists. It is a moderate route with some uneven terrain so good shoes are recommended. Due to the terrain, wheelchairs are not recommended; other trails are available.
This trail starts from Leven, either from the railway station, the bus station or the Leven Swimming Pool, all within a stone’s throw of each other. We’ll be working our way to the promenade by the beach.
