Continue along Victoria Terrace. You’ll pass a rather grand red brick house. This was once the office of the Balgonie Colliery Company.
Keep walking along Victoria Terrace until you come to a large stone building with crow stepped gables (stair shaped patterns of stone at the roof on the end of the building). This building was gifted to Markinch burgh by the Balfour Family in the late 19th century and was known as the Municipal Buildings, the burgh offices of Markinch Town Council and was later used by Fife Council.
Keep walking up to the school. Look across the road, can you see two lions, what is the building they are on used for now? This is your 9th answer.
