Heart of Fife » Adam Smith Heritage Trail » Point 7
This was once the Smith’s garden at the back of their house on the High Street. It was bought by the Adam Smith global Foundation in 2019. It’s easy to imagine Adam wandering in the garden gathering his thoughts as he was writing the Wealth of Nations. There are plans to redevelop the garden closer to how it was previously laid out. Today it is a serene haven in the heart of Kirkcaldy, offering a place to relax, reflect, and engage with the legacy of Adam Smith. The garden is not only a place to enjoy nature but also a hub for learning and creativity, hosting workshops and events that celebrate Smith’s ideas and foster community connections.
Head back to the High Street and continue along to Kirk Wynd.
