This well-known Kirkcaldy pub is a centuries old establishment with records and historical documents dating back to 1741 when it was sold to Alexander Watson of Glentarkie for the principal sum of ninety eight pounds and ten shillings. It’s known that Adam enjoyed French claret and Scottish beer, and it’s quite possible that he would drink at this tavern because it was a stones throw from his house.
