About Point 5

The High Street runs from the East Port on the east side – which was the location of one of the six ports or gates into Dunfermline – and Bridge Street to the west.

Today it is at the centre of the commercial area of the city, providing a range of shops and services.

There is a mix of architectural styles from different times and from the varying uses the buildings have had over the years.

Take time to explore the streets running off the High Street too where you’ll find plenty of places to shop, eat and drink.
